We definitely overbuilt here though. Maybe not as much as the boom areas...but for conservative midwest it was getting pretty frothy for this size of a city.

They were extending those 3500 sq ft shitbox developments all through Eden Prairie, well into Chanhassen and all the way out to Victoria. Heck, Rogers even became a damn bedroom community and far south in Lakeville/Farmington is a barren, half built mess.


Rogers??? That's almost funny.

In the article, however, they are saying the 15K vacant are all in the city of MPLS.....which is why I am questioning what is happening. When I lived in MPLS there were very few vacant units. What do you think? Are you seeing 15K units vacant in the city?

Out of curiosity, what kind of controls are you referring to?

Zoning and environmental controls......you know conservative Midwest. Typically, there are more restrictions in a city like MPLS than in a city like Vegas.
