I left a library book on the long island railroad. After it was never turned in I had to pay the Sayville library list price for the lost book. The head librarian told me that was the price they paid for the book and the book would need to be replaced. With the number of books they purchase each year I wanted to know why they paid list price and could not get an answer. I have yet to pay list price for a book at a book store and I don't buy many books each year. Somebody is slipping it over on the tax payers. Money makes the world go round.

Exactly! For every additional dollar the gov't bleeds from the taxpayer, they wind up spending two dollars.
