It's one thing if it's a civilian counterpart, it's another if it's another in uniform, at least that's the way we were trained. That goes for heterosexual couples too.

I remember quite clearly pulling into Hong Kong, the morning before the hangar decks were almost clear of EMIs. When we pulled out the Admiral was bitching because the people filling the hangar bay on restriction were getting in the way of his morning run ....<g> Now granted, many were there for violations other than sexual misconduct but, then, many were.

If it was a young Marine (or Army) male married to or dating a female Marine, and they were kissing each other and hugging...perhaps after lunch at the PX and on their way back to work....would you write them up?

I take your point. All I can say is that the Navy discouraged any public displays of affection while in uniform except of course special occasions like returning from a deployment without getting mangled.....etc...<g>
