Since the stock market looks ahead; it's obviously counting on Obama to be out of office in 2012.

is low employment good or bad for the stock market? Does a falling dollar increase the value (in dollars)of an international company ?

...the stock market keeps going up.

Tell that to the 17+% without jobs and begging for food stamps.

Tell them that your stock portfolio is doing just fine, and they should just quit bitchin and understand that Obama is a fraud.

All I hear from you guys is bad news but the stock market keeps going up.

the stock market is going up because people know the value of the dollar is going down and they are getting desperate to try hold on to the wealth they have. the wealth that they have worked and saved all their lives to get, and is disappearing before their eyes, as the dollar continues to lose value. the value of stocks is only up in nominal dollars. the true value of stocks is in decline like everything else the dollar is associated with. people will be getting more and more desperate to put their money into 'things'. they will be trying to protect the wealth they have by buying stocks and commodities. anything but dollars.

don't kid yourself ken. things ARE getting bad and will continue to get worse as we fall deeper into socialism.

only a fool equates the stock market with the economy.
