I appreciate all the work and insight this thread has provided. I have a follow up question for Kerm. I have noticed that your top 20 dropped NPP from a strong buy to buy. Do you anticipate continued operating problems ?I hold my NPP position from the Cimmaron Petroleum takeover and like many things about that they brought to the table. The downward spike with volume is disconcerting however, this seems to represent a good buying opportunity with leverage to gas prices.

Thanks Kerm

HAZ / Newport

Didn't somebody mention yesterday how information always seems to get into the market before it's formally released? I can only assume that the Q3 figs are a serious disappointment. Does look like a buying opportunity, though, doesn't it? Sorry I've already maxed my position in NPP.

HAZ - ALL / Oil & Gas Producers Index

Just checked latest status (via link I provided this a.m. in the oil & gas section of the Korner's Market Activity Report) of the O & G Producers Index. The index was down 62 points, almost 1.0%. Weakness continues in the sector.

The index is approaching what I feel is a support area, that's around 6450 (only 22 points away). I think it will hold. If that is the case, we're in a good buying opportunity period. If it breaks below this level and stays below for a few days, we're in trouble.

Warning - I am not a chart technician. If anyone has any expertise in this area, please comment with analysis.
