I understand what you're saying. In my mind, this is a doctrine that should be exercised carefully and individually, not used as a blanket approach.
Foremost, is that it should only be used when there's a strong foundation to expect success from the effort. That most decidedly would rule out Tibet-China, lol.

I'm OK with Libya and for specific reasons. That's all. I just wish Obama would have acted faster, when success was more assured.

From the beginning, I was opposed to both Afghanistan and Iraq---different reasons for each. But there's a time and a season for all things. Right now the ME is in the process of trying to achieve self-determination, so I can personally get behind this particular effort in this particular country.
