trump is sal-pinx. from something I can't read (through the idea of quavering or reverberation. from 4535, the base of a vibration. a trumpet. The actual word trumpet is not noted in the above scripture. It is trumpet, as in trumpet, period. The last trumpet in the Bible is chapter nine. Therefore, if we want to dissect this thing, let's dissect it right. Let's just dissect the last trumpet down to its tiniest metal molecule, look at all the words, and then see clearly what God would have us see. I believe that all of us have been taught to death on this subject. If we can start agreeing on each point leading up to the most important event in human history since the birth and death of Jesus Christ, I'm sure we may all get a better understanding of it than we have gotten previously by reading the explanations and understanding of the scripture of this one and that one. It is amazing how we hold this one and that one sacrosanact and without possibility of error. May we then begin by saying that we are all in agreement that we believe Paul said that at the last trump (not trumpet per se) we will be caught up in the air. And can we agree that the word trump or trumpet does not exist after Rev. 9:14. Is it also clear that there are two words "trump" and "trumpet" and that if the Bible is correctly translated, the word "trumpet" per se, could have been used by Paul but wasn't. Is there a reason for this, or is it poor translation? Did Paul actually mean a physical trumpet, or the sound of quavering and reverberation? I think this is all important. It gives one meaning one way, another meaning another. And can we agree that between Paul and John, John most certainly appears to have been given the inside edge for proclaiming to humans what the last days of man's time on earth would be. More so than Paul, who was not given Revelations, although he could have been given Revelations if God and Jesus had so desired. Do we agree on this, or does it need further clarification before we proceed? If we can agree, then we agree that most people base their under- standing of the rapture on a vague reference by Paul based on the last sound of the "trump" in the Bible. Do we agree on this point? I'm just trying to get a clean slate here, wiped clean of all prior teaching. I would rather give the Word a chance to teach us.
