The reason for corporate tax loop holes is somewhat to cushion the fact that corporate profits are taxed to the corporation and then again when paid out as dividends.

G, Corporations don't pay taxes, their customers do.
If GE had to pay taxes, they would just raise prices
to cover the 'overhead'.
