I believe (and I could be wrong) that the 3.8% tax is on the gain, not the sale.

I certainly hope this new tax will be applied to all senators and congressmen. After all, they seem to skate on many other laws they pass on the rest of "we the people." TV

Another lie that will be repealed hopefully. The Health Bill was the biggest Tax Heist in the history of the World! See States running to the far corners of the Earth to get waivers from it! Even NY city either yesterday or today has applied for a waiver. I agree this is to SEIZE the savings of retirees just like they confiscated Gold in 1933. Where did most of this debt come from? Liberals who signed into law with Democratic Congresses the following: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid + War Powers Act. Boy isn't that FDR and Johnson for the most part?
