Jake Straw says the corporate tax should be reduced even though corporate profits increased at the fastest rate since 1950.

he's correct. a lower corporate tax rate would mean more corporations and more jobs with better pay.

in truth, the corporate tax should actually be abolished for two reasons.

1. corporate tax costs, in the end, are paid for by people, not corporations. in other words 'we' pay the corporate taxes, even though it's hidden. and getting rid of the tax paperwork would also get rid of a little unneeded bureaucracy which would be good for the economy.

2. with no corporate taxes, the number of productive jobs would sky rocket. and foreign corporations would seek to move here creating even more jobs. the increased tax revenue from many more people working, would easily out-pace any falsely imagined losses in revenue from ending corporate taxes. in other words, total tax revenue would increase if corporate taxes were eliminated.

i know you won't understand reason 1, and you won't believe reason 2.
