Actually, don't confuse some bad debts being written off as collapse. The Big Banks managed to con masses of people into thinking it would mean "collapse of the world's financial system and therefore everyone's livelihoods" if the abyss had been reached. In fact, the main losers would be the shareholders and creditors of the bung banks. Bad luck for them.

Iceland is continuing to catch fish as normal, and generally live life well. There's a loss of wealth effect and loss of financial manipulation fake wealth too, but that was just pretend wealth, like going out for a big celebration for a birthday. The fact that there isn't a celebration every day doesn't mean poverty has been reached, it just means celebration time is over and it's back to work. Pretending that life was one big party based on borrowed money doesn't make it true. And people are not actually any poorer for going back to reality. They never were actually rich, though they might have thought they were.

The USSR on the other hand, did actually go into a collapse with big losses of production and even life expectancy. Same for Zimbabwe - it was an actual collapse.

The USA has kept right on going as the debts and creditors are cleared out by the markets and courts.

Don't be fooled Wayoman. It's just wayo. You should have noticed that. Capitalism is just fine thanks. Now, back to the trenches. Lay that fibre. Boost those base stations.
