Yes those all are good considerations.

I was a big Newt fan and still respect his mental horsepower. With that said, I do not feel he is electable for at least two reasons. 1) Dumping his dying wife would remind folks of "John Edwards." and 2) Newt became very unpopular for irrational reasons shortly before he left Congress back in the 90's. Converting that negative image to the satisfaction of the ignorant voter would be a daunting task and a major handicap.

Palin is unelectable for the second reason mentioned above. I do like her on a personal basis. However IMHO, her main usefulness is to continue attracting liberal criticism and thus serving as an effective “lightening Rod” for more viable candidates.

An electable slate might consist of our old friends Romney and Paul -- they for an interesting balance. And can you envision Newt as Sec of State – and Palin as Sec of the Interior?

The future (IMO) looks bright for Christie of New Jersey, Perry from Texas, and Rubio from Florida.

There may be others such as he young guns Cantor and Ryan.

I like Palin and Bachmann, but they will be decimated (again) by the liberal hate machine. How much can a person take when they go after your family and kids?

I think we are doomed to Obama for 4 more. He has too much money, and he does NOTHING. He blames everybody and everything but himself, and the press is covering for him 24/7, and making excuses.

With a Republican House and Senate, he probably won't cause too much damage.

You never know when a new face will pop up out of nowhere, as with Palin and Obama. I think Clinton's head is still spinning.
