Weekly COT looks a bit better..... Best correlation these days is to the Small Spec Longs who added ~4K of OI. The perennial favorite OI correlation(1) Commercial Shorts only dropped -1K of OI. This juxtapositioned with ~-9K and ~-10K drops in OI for Large Spec Longs and Shorts. Want to see an uptick in Comm Shorts obviously before we call a POG major run. All FWIW, H3 1. That one-day drop of nearly -81K of OI from the one hedge fund blowing up on COMEX margin wrecked the OI correlations. If we could apportion his trades across the Long-short classes.... Now that some time has passed, ST correlations look better and (heading) back on track.
