Yes, I knew this. What I said was that the deal had never happened. But even if it had, why is this such a sticking point with many on this thread? We've been arming despots forever. We've been giving them foreign aid forever, too. And sometimes we have then turned around and blown everything up, including the airports and roads built with the foreign aid. I wouldn't find it shocking that we had delivered the troop carriers to Gaddafi one month and turned around and bombed them the next. Laughable maybe, but that's all. Our dealings with the ME have always been rather schizoid.
