I teach based upon my own training since age 8-----I supplement that with training in performance via the Alexander Technique used by many musicians and performers. Music is truly my passion in life. I prefer learning by doing. I teach theory as one is ready for each step of theory in music, not separate from the learning process. Teaching piano is very rewarding-------I have several students who are now blossoming with their music. Witnessing their growth in playing the piano is awe inspiring. Recently, I acquired a new student of 6 who is no doubt a genius in many subject areas----------he reads a piece of music rapidly. I can talk to this 6 year old as though I am talking to an adult about a piece of music. How about you? Any specific interest in music? mj
