Staff,

One minor point: I think you've got it wrong on solar - the real
story is based on the old adage "People overestimate what will
change in the short term and underestimate what will change in
the long term." We're now approaching the long term.

Maybe Letterman isn't the best choice for an analyst of that biz.

Hi Staff,

Great post. I feel like I just took a tour of a market museum, reading all those names and events of yesteryear. Now I feel old. I think Robert Prechter called a top at 5000. Now he's back peddling his new book calling a top right here. BTW, remember the biggest bear of all, Joe Granville? Well, he's also back in the news. He just announced that the DOW will reach 10,000 by New Years. Can you believe it? Go figure...
