Sorry, I meant Suharto, not Sukarno (although one may say similar things about them--I hope none of them are reading these threads! I'm gonna get paranoid.)

But there are drive factories in Indonesia, too, I'm pretty sure, as well as Malaysia. I'm not sure how much. But that wasn't really the point I was trying to make. I was just saying that government corruption in general--even in faraway places in SE Asia--is a threat to the US bull market. Why? Well, to be brief and undoubtedly inadequate about it--if these countries become producers without being consumers (i.e., if the workers don't have enough money to buy an equivalent amount of what they are producing), then the world becomes flooded with cheap goods, deflation results in much of the world, while the producer countries have a chosen few who become incredibly wealthy.

More needs to be said, but I don't have time right now. That in any case is a brief outline.

Well : My WDC hard drive "crashed and burned" yesterday..6 months old..it started a high pitch whine and stopped..I got it runing long enough to back it up then it crashed for good..simply stating I am very glad at this point to have bought SEG instead of WDC....gregor
