Have you heard about this woman? She came running into the Tripoli hotel where foreign journalists were staying, screaming that she had been raped. Gov't officials came and took her away even as journalists interceded. Then yesterday, the gov't claimed she was a prostitute but had been released.

1522: The parents of a Libyan woman who said she was detained by government forces and later gang raped, Iman al-Obaidi, have told al-Jazeera that she is being held hostage at Col Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya compound in Tripoli, and has not been freed. Ms Obaidi's mother said she had broken "the barrier that no other man could break" by coming forward about her rape. She said her daughter was "a hostage, taken by the tyrants", and that she had been asked by officials to persuade her daughter to drop her allegations in return for freedom and other benefits, including money or a new house.
