The moon hasn't been there always. It hasn't been there since the earth began. It came later. It has been said without the moon there wouldn't be life on the planet. It seems it stabilized the planet at is angle which causes the seasons. Prior to the moon in orbit around the planet the planet wobbled on it's axis like all planets without moons.

Hope I have the correct size cushion to strap on.
