Colorado is one of the states where Atlas Shrugged will premiere on April 15th. As of this writing there are 5 in the Denver/Boulder area. Very disappointed at the limited initial release. Most states not represented and only a few theatres even in large states like New York. As you say, hopefully blowout attendance for the opening will trigger a broader release. I was hoping that tea parties in some of the bigger cities would get together to promote parties and groups but have seen nothing of that so far, at least here. This website atlasshruggedpart1.com carries the complete list of theatres (with their addresses) and show times for the opening day, and allows purchase of tickets to the theatre and time of your choice. I bought tickets online a few days ago. Never did that before, but it is a pretty straightforward process. The ticket prints out on your PC printer complete with bar code that carries all the necessary info to allow the ticket taker to admit you to the theatre, bypassing the ticket-selling window. Very similar process to printing your boarding pass prior to leaving for the airport. I was pleased to find that even including a charge for the process, total for 2 seniors was less than $12! Been paying typically about $8/senior in recent months on the few occasions that I go to movies anymore. Been looking forward to seeing this movie for almost a year now, ever since it first started filming last June. April 15th will be a day to remember for a long time to come.
