ElM, you and I are more finite resources than coal or oil. Peak People will be in 2037 [if not sooner due to biological attack or economic collapse/wars/insurrection]. Peak People and Peak Oil will not happen because oil is running out. Coal, Orinoco and Athabasca carbon supplies are good for hundreds of years at current consumption levels.

As Sheik Yamani said, the stone age didn't end because of a shortage of stones and the oil age won't end because oil runs out. <For how long? Oil and coal are finite resources. > Your carbon will be recycled into the biosphere before oil and coal run out. You will stop using them.

There has been a huge attempt to get loot flowing from CO2 Greenhouse Effect terror, but the Japanese tsunami has shown people that 30cm of sea level rise over 100 years is not something to worry about. A 10 metre sea level rise in 2 seconds is more of a worry. Over 100 years, there has been less than 1 degree Celsius increase, which was not caused by CO2 but even if it was, it's a good thing rather than bad.
