Exports? Just chickens and dog food? I don't think so. How do you figure that the price of corn was artificially low? Also, the deficit that you mention we have to fight is only exacerbated by the ethanol subsidy which I believe is presently at forty or fifty cents per gallon. Somehow you omitted that. I know it wasn't intentional.
Eliminate the ethanol subsidy and they'll be more corn to feed those hungry mouths - human and otherwise. And I might add, gas mileage will go up in the typical car thereby saving us money at the pump. But of course, somehow ethanol has become one of our weapons in the war against, against...I've forgotten but I know it must be important else we wouldn't be subsidizing it. Maybe ethanol feeds people?
