What we need is a Prez who believes in the values of Western civilization So true. But more we need a nation that believes in these values. Europe has washed its hands of Western Civilization and there are plenty of alternatives, principally Islam, actively attempting to fill the void. We are trotting along closely behind.

Your post is spot on. The person who I see actively working against the islamists, especially in Iran is an Iranian muslim. Reza Kahlili has made it a life's work to get the word out. Smoothsail has posted a bunch of his stuff on this thread in the past year or two. We just need a bunch more Reza's out there to take a stand. And I would refine the western values thing a bit. Where that's a nice place to start, we really need a president who believes in, honors and respects the US Constitution and the philosophies on which this country was founded. I'm pretty sure that I don't want the US to become a Euro flavored western civ.

It's just that the barbarians have the upper hand at the moment and can wield the religion like a club to intimidate the moderates. The Wahhabis are the "Sheep Dogs" and the rest of the Muslims are the sheep. They control the Mullahs now because they have the money to control their education. It is getting worse, not better. It's easy to watch it happen. Just watch the way the women dress. When they get more conservative in your area you know they are afraid of the males.
