Michael,

I still don't understand the rational for shorting a stock like IPM. There are so many stocks out there that have a 90%+ chance of going down, and little upside if they did rally. Why in the world would you pick one where you don't know the upside? For longs, the downside right now is $5.50. For shorts, the downside is ??? I can live on the edge as much as the next person, but I honestly can't see the logic here.

Very good point. Most companies request that the exchanges halt trading in their stock while they are preparing a major news release. However, it is not a rule.
