Sink seemed to be more than just an 'ok' alternative. really is a shame. Hopefully Sink stays involved and maybe next time the voting booths will be fuller. apathy and cynicism might seem cool, but they don't lead to good effects. All Sink was is honest, smart, non-ideological, very pragmatic. Perfect Gov for Florida. And Florida had plenty of warning what Scott was all about.....ideology trumped sanity. As to the turn out, I think a lot has to do with Florida having lots and lots of folks that came from somewhere else and don't have generational roots. Local politics doesn't seem important to them, especially if it's a nice beach day. Rick Scott's biggest fan was my cousin's wife.......a 4th generation Floridian. I bet it was people more like you.....a Florida transplant.....who liked Sink.
