The research alerts that get to me the most are the ones that say a brokerage has "initiated coverage".
Is this like a death watch? Time to find a priest or rabbi?

Hi Joss, >>I remember a while back, the advice ML was giving you was sidelines and "High Quality" if I may paraphrase. How does that, in your opinion, square with:

The guys from Merrill Lynch I was listening to were defining "high quality" as those companies that have not disappointed in earnings and have had solid steady growth in their business for years and "low risk". I have not gone out to ML on-line to see what this news release means on AOL, but the data I have here is they rate it as a "high risk" stock and in September they had the stock rated at a long term buy and hold short term. Do you know if ML did the convertable for them. BTW, I am short the stock. My stop right now is $86.5.

I was wondering what was pushing to stock up.

Thanks, Joan
