Listen, and you decide. Of course Obama is a Socialist. His job as a "Community Organizer" was a Socialist job. He ran on the Socialist party when he started out in Chicago. The Socialist/Capitalist split in the parties started with the rise of Socialism in the 1890.1900 period, as Socialism rose in Europe. The already existing Business/Populist split between our two parties made it natural for the Socialists in this country to end up as Dems. We are now to the point that not only are the Dems a Socialist party but even on the Right our "conservative" commentators are "Capital-Buts." Listen to O'Reilly/Rush/etc, say, "Now I am for Capitalism, but..."
