I find it interesting that both SEG and QNTM investor relations have told me that Samsung has been making noises for years about being a bigger player and neitrher sounded to concerned, unlike with Fujitsu which they take seriously. Someone checked the Samsung website and felt they were lagging in density and MR incl having a 1.7 GB program which may be the ill fated program WDC is having yield problems with. Is so they are probably stuck selling high cost product into a very unfriendly market and losing a bundle. Let's hope they crawl back into their hole soon.
Anyone know whether Fujitsu is highly vertically integrated or what competitve advantages they might have? Later, -Z

With WDC coming back today, maybe there's hope that the hate affair with disk drives was only temporary which should be very positrive for Quantum. I xcertainly have to admit to being leary of an all disk drive company when there is heavy prive competition in the Dec. quarter. Do you believe this will blow over that easily and the momentum players will return?
