Hi Kevin--glad that you are getting a chance to post a bit more

>>Years to get there? I guess your influence is making it easier for me to learn this<<

Hey, if you are able to do this more quickly, my influence or not--in terms of following the system without exception---good for you. I think that it is the most difficult part of systems trading.

In early days, I used to constantly second-guess the system, taking some trades and not others, exiting some quickly and not others. I missed the crash in 87 because of this--I was short the futures about a week or so prior and exited the trade the Thursday before the crash.

>>I've been impressed with your mechanical system for a long time, and have wanted one of my own. I'm getting there...<<

Kevin-- you are absolutely doing the right thing developing your OWN system. It will give you a lot more confidence in the signals and that will help ensure that you take all the trades. I have not worked on the formulas that you provided after the initial flurry of activity but from what what work that I did, I KNOW that your formulas provide a viable basis for the development of a system

>>BTW, have you ever shared your system with anyone? Just curious.

Not a soul--but you'll get a kick out of this--I have actually mentioned it in my will and willed it to someone.

Take care
