Baby boom is now oldies boom. Oldiesboom is a growing ballast on younger generations. These oldies are high longevity folks. They will live long and longer. Oldies don’t want their entitlements cut. There is no way the younger can keep their standard of living because they need to support the oldies. I lived through similar situation in Brazil. I was younger and there were not enough working people to pay for my living standard. Thus I was dirty poor when I was growing up.
