AOL USES 3COMS MODEMS AND BEGINS 56K SERVICE AMERICA ONLINE INC. (up 4-7/8 @ 73-3/8 @ 11:40 a.m. ET) said 56k, high-speed access is now available to members of its Internet online service, AOL Networks. In June, AOL announced trials of 56k with 3COM modems, and said it would upgrade 200 cities to 56k technology by the end of September. AOL said it has completed this effort, and has expanded the high-speed capabilities to 210 more cities. Chow, Chi-X hath Spoken! "There shall be no wine, before its time."
