Great chart. Thanks. The right wing cannot answer questions straight out (because they live in a fantasy world) so they engage in psychobable. Your chart makes it all very clear.

As I posted, IMO, the reason scientists are mostly liberal is because their job requires they constantly test reality. That is what they do. So when scientists see the Republican's sloppy thinking (and worse, often just making shit up) they want no part of it. In fact they are repulsed by it.

In the Science magazine, there was a report which showed selected results from a Pew survey. Newsflash! Scientists are more liberal than the general public!

Its a bogus poll made up of AAAS members who may or may not be scientists but are mostly university or government employees. Little represtation of scientists from industry - like chemical, pharma, energy, defense, aerospace, etc.

John Holdren, the nutty scientist who once wanted to put birth control drugs in the water supply, is a former AAAS President. Speaks volumes about AAAS politicization.
