it would be 'picked up' as and when the plume cloud approches and the resultant over-the-air radio / tv signals interference causes a crackling sound in the living rooms of news people. google.com the neat n tidy should not have saved a few yen and placed nukes so close to cooling ocean water they should have placed the reactors on higher ground and/or just a few kilometers inland common sense would have cost a few printed yen for piping works
