That's not open. That's not much "to do" about nothing, as you so eloquently posted. For the record, as a user, I don't give a rat's ass about open vs. Closed. Apple has demonstrated pretty clearly that closed produces the best products. And as an Android user, I've seen the flaws of open first hand (fragmentation, unstable software, multiple crashes per day, terrible inconsistent user interface, etc). Yes, for pete's sake, as a user, I would love for Google to pull an Apple and "shepherd" Android. Like I said, I just love the delicious Orwellian aspect of this. And Sly, you make a wonderful Squealer, if you don't mind me saying.
