We need a DOW around 24000 to keep pace with the price of plain jane hamburger......$3.99 a pound at the local butcher shop the other day.....amazing.

Big deal. My bank was here this past week to go over the past year. They brought a news release showing that their profits were up 69% from the previous year. One of my companies was up 550%. Although I had a very good year, it was not my best year. Profits were down obviously the previous year, just as the market was...these gains mean little unless you have an agenda...

ken..."Dow Posts Best First Quarter Since 1999"...

When the dow post gains are any of the gains due to profits made by listed companies who employ off shore labor? not American jobs?..like GE for example?

The dow posts it's best quarter since 1999!
Fed stops buying US debt in June.
PIMCO sold all their US bonds.
Hershey Foods raises wholesale prices 10% across the board.
10%???
It sure is a good thing the inflation index doesn't include food and energy.

I wonder why PIMCO sold all their US Bond holdings.
Do they expect the US bonds to sell off?
Why would that be do you suppose?
Ahhh!!! They must be wrong. The dow had it's best quarter since 1999. What is wrong with those bone heads?
