I have no shares in APPL. Have in the past, not currently. I have held shares in GOOG in the past, won't ever again. This competition is good for consumers, is it not? Apple offers the user competition. It is a closed system but it never would and never will be the only or even a dominant system. It is and will be one of many business models for consumers to choose from driving innovation and competition with its talent, creativity and business model. Others would be HP, Rimm, even MS. Which company and platform has monopolist ambitions to completely dominate the market, that will ultimately limit choice and development? It's Google and Android and it dumbfounds me that people don't realize that a Google world will be a narrow world dependent on Google and Google's self-interests only rather than competition to drive innovation. Is it really that annoying to live in the margin, to get bug-ridden, afterthought, second rate second tier applications, and inferior development platorms? Or is it just watching this coming, like a slow motion car accident right before your eyes, simply more than you can handle? I thought Apple owners were used to this and had accepted it already as a way of life. It was just the price for being cooler than everyone else. No doubt right now Apple is under considerable pressure and the Google/Android world may be your only choice. As a user for years though Apple has suited my needs superbly, suited them far more better than the consumer unfriendly, bug ridden, virus infested world I have had to live in from time to time with Microsoft. Finally, bonus opinion. While the term business ethic is an oxymoron, I think Google with their cutesy pastry named OS versions, cuddly robot, rainbow colored moniker and BS do no evil slogan is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to trustworthiness.
