it didn't happen in Iran 30 plus years ago and it won't happen in libya or Egypt

One reason I'm hopeful is because I have faith in young people to bring about generational change one way or another. This has been true throughout recorded history, and my guess is that this generation of ME young people is not impressed with what the generation before them has brought to pass. As well they should be. American young people are the fattest and most spoiled cats on the planet earth. Many are living off the savings of their great-grandparents, their grand-parents, and are anxiously looking forward to inheriting from their parents. The biggest surprise they face will come when all their forebearers have passed and they discover the pot-of-gold is empty and it is time to go to work.
