Exactly -- we DON'T know. It could be bin Laden or someone of the same persuasions. A superpower entering a war not knowing on whose side - what can be more absurd?

Saudi Arabia dropping bombs was never going to happen. The choice was either the West intervening or letting Gaddafi stay in power and slaughter both the rebels and civilians.
