Good document.

Like the good capitalist emphasis on identifying "entitlements" as the albatross that will destroy America-as-we-know-it.

Instead of exploring the advance of civilization, as virtually all other industrialized nations do, and implementing a single payer health system, to reduce the cost of healthcare by rooting out the rent-seeking, profit driven, health insurance industry overhead, we blame entitlements for our problems.

Rather than accepting that care and health of our corporate citizens is a valid objective of our "state corporation", like the rest of the civilized world, we fret that doing so is going to ground the egg laying goose, that has so blessed a few of us lo these many years.

What is going to wreck America is not the entitlements, but the obstinance to modify our system to generate the tax revenue to fund our responsibilities to our people.

This at the expense of a few well heeled, but totally superfluous corporations that do nothing but extract a profit for controlling and limiting access to health care.

It's an interesting point of view. Others have been predicting the financial collapse of the US, well, when was this thread started? And there were bears, so many bears, as long as I've been here and long before that. For some reason I irritate bears and they feel that they must lecture me until I see reason. Eventually they realize that I won't ever see reason and then they leave me alone, thank goodness.
