I have a couple of seriously rich uncles, too. And aunts. They're all [five of them altogether] very nice, but only 4 know anything about investing. The other retired in his late 30s, early 40s to Hawaii, after making a fortune, then scoping out the globe for the best place in which to live. His gig is real estate, for which I have no passion and, consequently, no talent.

I think the same is probably true of you. A passing-fancy type of interest in macroeconomic issues and negligible interest in how to make them work for you, which is of course perfectly OK as it is impossible to manufacture a passion that doesn't exist.

I personally feel that freedom and liberty lie in understanding money.
