Man, I guess I hit the nail on the head with this one, but I didn't think BGLS would be the first bagel maker to teeter on the edge of bankruptcy. Their only hope is to can the current management team and bring in some people with some credibility (and some $$$$ wouldn't hurt either).

Just as recent as August, CEO Jack Grumet talked about 1997 being a transition period for BGLS and expected 1998 to be a significant turnaround. Now, this...

If I thought there was a decent chance that BGLS would still be in business a year from now or taken over, I might take the risk and pick up some shares. I just don't know who might consider a takeover.
