What seems an infinite amount of drive space today (as 8.4 gig does to me) will be too small tomorrow. That's why so many machines have multiple hard drives.

I still can't believe there was a day when my brand-new 30-meg Seagate seemed infinite. Couldn't imagine *ever* filling that drive. Now I've got 128 meg of RAM (and still doesn't seem enough) and about 4 gig of hard drive and plan to buy a new 8.4 gig today or early next week.

Jimily: A HD mfg. would most likely want to get an exclusive OEM
deal with SYCR. That way there would be a tangible, easily
understood and marketable benefit to upgrading with THEIR
drives.
