Bob, I think you are right. It has been a long, long time since there has been what I would call "exuberant" evaluations of most semi stocks. PEs ad PEGs have been about 50 percent of what they have been in the past when they were looked at more as the "go go" stocks.

I think this evaluation of NSM by the market at such low value, for so long caught everyone by surprise when TXN offered a 70 percent premium. Truth is, that may be a fair value. Just like the lawyers that are asking for an evaluation of the deal may be right. Once NSM was put in play by TXN, NSM management should probably have asked other companies if they were interested in NSM before they closed the deal.
