I don't think a voter card is necessary....maybe I'm wrong for Texas, but in NY it's not necessary although many people bring it with them... Here we sign under our original signature and the inspectors are supposed to look at it for authenticity....but they're too intimidated to challenge. In the years I was an inspector I challenged one guy who's signature bore no resemblance to his original...I told him so and asked him to make it look like his orginal....he did.. But the other inspectors were horrified...

I didn't allow any Republican votes.....
