***OT*** Trufflette,
Let me begin by telling you that i think you are one of the greatest investors of the '90s (and possibly of all time). i have watched your reported trades and insights into the daily turns and twists of the market and hope that someday i might be able to do half as good as you. Best wishes when you start full-time trading at the beginnng of the year, i have little doubt that you be able to to exceptionally well not matter what direction the stock market goes.

On the other hand (and i am left handed): your thoughts that NE would ever (even for one trade) go to $28.5 again has no basis in reality. (Unless you plan to drive it there by shorting 1 million shares at the open!) The TA person that i respect the most predicted the last bottom to be $28. (She was so close that i was able to buy @ $26 and change). i think today showed that we will never again vistit those levels.

I think that there are somethings about oil exploration and the extreemly short supply of deep water rigs that you have forgotten about. Even the Mighty Crammer said the sell-off was over done:

That is a wicked good article.
Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney and a couple of the lesser known names have all repeated that this sector will see the highest growth of income for the next three or more years.

Then again, you have been doing for this a lot longer than me. I have little doubt that but day trading, using options, margin, shorting and playing comodities you will do much better than me for the next four years...... but remember, i'm taking notes ;-)

Best wishes,
and for the record: i hate meat and like dogs.
