Except I haven't made anything up about it. The CEO of the largest retailer in the world must have made it up. The data doesn't support what he said...but you hang on to his words...why? because it feeds your hatred... You look for any bad news you can find and then amplify it in the context of a political cynical message...oil has spiked as it did in 2008 and the CPI shows the effect of it in a subset of the food sector...doesn't mean that inflation overall is going up and the data shows it...ah but not for you...for you the sky is falling and it's all because of Obama...and in fact, apart from the $800B stimulus bill to get the economy out of its slump the rest of the deficit was baked in momentum when he came to power...if danger comes from inflation it is more likely to come from the action of the Fed reserve, but that's not part of your message is it? Al
