Why are you attacking our Attorney General? It's because he'd black isn't it?

>> Do you allow that there may be some benefits to demonstrate to the world and, more importantly, to the arab world that our system of law can withstand this challenge and be fairer to them than they are to us?

This is a specious and ridiculous argument. The Arab world doesn't give a damn about "fairness". Last week they murdered a 14 year old girl for being a rape victim.

If anything, they perceive it as a weakness to be exploited. And that a single branch of our government can't even establish a cogent, sensible policy and stick with it reinforces the Arab world's belief that they can take us down, one suicide bomber at a time.

Al, > Why are you fearful of the trappings of our legal system?

I've repeated it many times. KSM was captured on the battlefield in the war on terrorism. Different rules apply. Way too many complications with turning this into a matter of domestic law.

> So this issue boils down to one of expediency for you? Do you allow that there may be some benefits to demonstrate to the world and, more importantly, to the arab world that our system of law can withstand this challenge and be fairer to them than they are to us?

Maybe, but this "challenge" to our system of law is completely unnecessary. The only motivation for it is liberal ideology, which maintains that the war on terrorism doesn't make any sense and that KSM and the other 9/11 conspirators should just be treated like domestic criminals.

And yeah, expediency is a valid concern. Kind of stupid to hold up the trial of KSM because of political and legal maneuvering. That's demonstrating to the world and, more importantly, to the Arab world that our system of law is so bogged down and ineffective that we don't know what to do with a known terrorist who is responsible for the deaths of thousands.

> And is it not possible that the administration has backed off to accommodate the overwhelming opposition from all sides? Why is it that you assign the most cynical motives to the actions of the AG and the administration?

The cynicism stems from how slowly the wheels of justice seem to turn. People like you and Eric Holder seem more motivated to tell the world, "See? We're not warmongers like you think we are. We're actually fair and civilized human beings."

I've pointed out many times how complications can lead to the release and acquittal of KSM, but you keep ignoring it. It's clear to me that Eric Holder is also ignoring those complications as well, especially when he arrogantly declares that he knows more than the rest of us. Fine, then how about acknowledging the complications, such as KSM's claim that he was waterboarded 182 times?

Last time I pointed this out to you, all you did was express blind faith that Eric Holder and the Justice Department must know what they're doing (before you went back to your usual "Blame Bush" rant):

Sorry, but I haven't seen any indications that they do. Just liberal ideology. Cause you know, we have to show the world that we're actually nice people.
