We will lose Glen Beck at the end of the year. We will now never know if he was really mentally ill or pretending to be mentally ill to appeal to the lowest common denominator of the GOP. I vote for pretending, as his skits are a direct plagiarism of Professor Irwin Corey's comedy routines. They even tackle many of the same topics and both use a chalk board with weird crap on it as a prop.

Many questions remain: 1. Who will now publicize the great hedge fund manager, George Soros? 2. Which losing Presidential Candidate will replace him? I'm betting Michelle Bachman, every bit as crazy, but not as bombastic. 3. Who else will sell gold to suckers at a 25-35% markup?

Some say it was low revenues with high ratings that did Glen in. Others say that Fox Fictional news models and common taters thought Beck was making them look less legitimate. I don't buy into that one? What kind of idjit thinks any of those goofs are real reporters? My guess is that a man I considered shameless, Roger Ales, is ashamed of being associated with this guy.

For whatever reason, I will miss having access to an easy visual display to unfairly illustrate that all right wingers are nuts. They are not all nuts. They are not all evil. They are not even all stupid. Some are sane, halfway decent, intelligent people who believe that continuing to do things in a way that has already failed makes sense.

Glen Beck could make a thinking man lazy.
