"We didn't have government shutdowns when Nancy Pelosi was speaker."

Why didn't Nancy Pelosi get a budget passed when it was supposed to be passed?

The government, if it were a business, would have been bankrupt years ago. It spends money it doesn’t have. It borrows money from a the Fed that simply prints it and hands it over to the gov't that is insolvent.

Democrats and Republicans are fighting it out in Washington these days over $60.0 billion in budget spending cuts this year. The $60.0 billion is not our only problem. Our problem is in trillions of dollars, because that’s how large the debt of the government has accumulated.

Our current national debt sits at about $14.29 trillion. By the end of this decade, the number is predicted to be $20.0 trillion. But the numbers are basically bogus. A real company would need to add future obligations, like retirement benefits, on its balance sheet, while the government doesn’t do that.

No, but we had a dishonest, secretive Congress which spent tons of money the country doesn't have. You approve of that?

Wait. Of course you do - you are a Democrat.

>>We didn't have government shutdowns when Nancy Pelosi was speaker.

Pelosi the gov't whore was too busy spending other peoples (the taxpayers) money to worry about the consequences of her destructive actions. She's a spineless coward who only cared about partisan politics, her cushy job and getting re-elected.

Leave it to the republicans to make the hard, but necessary cuts...

We got a bill of over 2700 pages that we wouldn't and couldn't know what was in it until it was passed. Now that it has passed we are finding out about all the trillions it is going to cost the taxpayers.

Nancy never would never think of closing down the government because it would have meant she would have to stop spending the taxpayers money. She could never do that. Never ever. It is like she is a shopaholic with a spending addiction. Only spending other peoples money.

Grow up...there are damned few in D.C. that don't deserve the tar, feather and the rail treatment.

How many old folks could have Pelosi fed had she scaled back on the personal luxury treatment on "her" airplane....The life blood of the politician flows from the weak minded and you've had the hook "set" in you more than once.
