Well, You don't sound completely sheltered since you have this impression of a women that gets pregnant as having had multiple partners and you infer that she is a slut. God made both man and woman to want and like sex. It is God's way of insuring survival of his creation. Can we please quit demonizing women while letting the fellas off scott free(much harder to do now that there is DNA)? What does it say about a mans morals that he would sleep with a promiscuous woman? Is that Christlike? We know a woman has lost her direction to live a life of loose morals, but why do we just say "boys will be boys"? Why do we not expect more from men? If all men showed proper restraint and commitment, there would be little to no abortion, right? Modern Christianity wants women to be chaste, upright, selective, moral, but men get a free pass. In your example the woman was not selective or exclusive, yet how many women/girls are getting pregnant by boyfriends (she knows who the father is-she doesn't need to "name them")? And if a woman is promiscuous taking several partners, are these men not promiscuous also(you don't mean to tell me that all of those men willingly sleeping with her are also proposing marriage do you)? Is her moral failure worse than theirs? Abortion is the moral failure of men and women. I have been married 27 years, never strayed, and am partnered with my husband in his long fight with cancer.
